If you are interested in news reviews and I asked you to explain general news put on a common subject, what would you consider? Come on. Tell me. Want me to make a guess? You think of general reports as news that is latest and is put up for the general public including marketing for people generally looking for books, or, you may think of general news as worldwide news that all the people in the world can attempt to understand. For instance, the current oil spill is general news because it affected so many countries, or perhaps the past recession, since it upset more than half of the nations in the whole world. If you presume that, then you are correct with what you regard as general news.
For a much better description, general news is a type of news that is written for the general public. This means, each person can read it. As a writer, it is hard to write all-purpose news that is because you must research on topics that not only people in a certain area can relate to, but people all throughout the world can be concerned about. The two mentioned above are clear, since several countries are affected. However, it is not every day that a bank messes up its funds, or when an oil spill occurs, threatening about half of the population of the world’s marine organisms.
So, as a columnist who is tasked to compose general news, you have to think carefully on what you are going to write about, and you need to do broad research first. This is due to the fact that your audience is the total world, there is no scope for mistake, and if you cause one, or write something that is untrue, then it will certainly affect the magazine that you are writing for.
In general, when writing blogs about everything, you need to be cautious of two very simple things, your focus area and relation to the entire world. So, whatever occurred in Hawaii that isn’t something major isn’t worthy for general news.
